announced a spokeswoman for the Qatari Foreign Ministry spokesman Lulua Al Khater, the Doha received an official invitation to participate in the Arab summit to be held in the work of Riyadh , despite the conflict with Saudi Arabia, and will participate in it.

Al-Khater did not specify who would represent Qatar at the summit but said that "Qatar received an official invitation and will participate in the Riyadh summit."

Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister Adel Al-Jubeir has announced that Saudi Arabia will host the 29th summit at the request of the United Arab Emirates. The summit was to be held in the United Arab Emirates, but it apologized

The Arab summit is the first Arab summit to be held after the diplomatic boycott announced by four Arab countries - Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain - for Doha since June 5, accusing Qatar of supporting terrorist organizations. For its part, Doha denied the accusations against it, stressing that the siege imposed on it is intended to impose trusteeship on its national decision.

It is also the first Arab summit to be held after US President Donald Trump announced in early December his country's recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and his confirmation that the US embassy would be transferred to the city from Tel Aviv.

The 28th Arab Summit was held in Jordan in March last year and dealt with the draft final statement, which dealt with a number of important issues and developments in the Arab and regional arena.
