Oil jumps to a three-year high as tensions mount in the Middle East
12/4/2018 12:00 am [rtl]BAGHDAD / Oil prices jumped to a three-year high on Wednesday after Saudi Arabia said it had intercepted missiles over Riyadh and as international tensions mounted over Syria. Brent crude and US benchmark WTI crude traded at their highest levels since 2014. Geopolitical concerns have overshadowed global crude stocks as a major market driver. Brent crude jumped 2 percent to $ 72.46 a barrel, its highest level since early 2014 after US President Donald Trump threatened to fire rockets at Syria in response to a suspected chemical attack last week.
