ERBIL - US, UK, and France pounded Syria early on Saturday in retaliation to a chemical gas attack which killed scores of people last weekend.
The US President Donald Trump declared the military action from the White House, saying " we are prepared to sustain this response until the Syrian regime stops its use of prohibited chemical agents".
The UK and France have joint the US forces in the military campaign.
Meanwhile, Russia's Ambassador to the US has said "the attack on his ally will be left without consequences", according to BBC.
Earlier this week, Trump told Russia "to be ready for US's missiles targeting Syrian regime", after Moscow said that it would shoot down any missiles fired at the government.
