Follow-up /

A member of parliament's finance committee, Rahim Darraji, said on Monday that all Iraqi governments after 2003 failed to fight corruption.

"The successive Iraqi governments after 2003 and until today have all failed to fight corruption because they are part of the mechanism of corruption," Darraji was quoted by the Middle East as saying.

He added that "talk about corruption often takes a dimension of media only without serious steps in this area."

"The waste of more than $ 328 billion over the past 15 years, as well as thousands of fake contracts, nothing has been achieved."
