The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) mission on Monday allocated more than $ 190 million to support stability in areas hit by terrorism, indicating that the management of funds directed to Iraq is strictly managed.
The deputy head of the mission, William Patterson, told the "Economy News" that the agency is working directly with Iraqi government agencies to help support the stability of the areas that have been subjected to terrorist operations.
He added that the agency has allocated more than 190 million dollars to support the stabilization operations, and between the US government is the largest contributors to these amounts, pointing out that the operations of the Development Agency will help in one way or another stability processes that will be reflected positively on the lives of citizens in those areas.
Patterson pointed out that the Development Agency manages large funds and part of them are disbursed in Iraq as humanitarian projects and monitors those amounts to go directly to the beneficiaries, noting that there are different ways to ensure the funds, especially the existence of other regulatory bodies that monitor the work of the Agency, .
