    Follow-Up

The Iranian Ministry of Education has decided to prevent schools from using foreign social networks, according to the agency "Elna" close to the reformers.

A ministry memo said schools should "only use internal social networks" in communications.

The Telegram application is widely popular in Iran, and in 2017, the number of users was 40 million per month and the application of Entragram is also widely deployed, and the applications are used by many companies to communicate directly with their customers.

The less widely used are Facebook and Twitter, which are banned in Iran but easily accessible via a private virtual network.

The authorities banned Talgam's application temporarily during the wave of protests in dozens of Iranian cities late last year after he was accused of allowing "anti-revolutionary" groups abroad to use him to stir unrest.
