Information / Baghdad ..
The excavations in the Mediterranean gas field "Feiathan 3" were launched last week, the Israeli daily HaYom reported Tuesday.
The newspaper said it had "obtained exclusive information that Israeli partners in the exploration of gas in the field mentioned, rented a ship dug from the giant energy company Ensco, for $ 38 million annually."
According to the Hebrew newspaper, the ship is capable of drilling deep under water, and drilling is expected to continue until 2020.
The point at which drilling began is 120 kilometers west of the coastal city of Haifa, at a depth of 1,000 and 670 meters, and the depth of the excavation is expected to reach 4,000 and 800 meters from the Mediterranean.
It is planned that the ship will continue its work in the drilling of other gas fields, after the completion of the drilling in the field, "Leviatan 3", especially the field, "Leviatan 7" in the waters of the Mediterranean as well.
It is expected to start the field of "Lvivathan 3" production by 2019, estimated at 535 billion cubic meters of natural gas.
Israel has a number of gas fields in the Mediterranean waters, and has signed export agreements in 2017 and 2018, with both Jordan and Egypt, and plans to export to Europe, via Cyprus and Greece. Ending / 25
