Shafaq News / Rajih member of the legal committee of parliament Zana Said on Tuesday, the failure of the Iraqi Council of Representatives to hold a meeting full quorum for the preoccupation of members of the election campaigns.
"The timing of the session was not successful and its real date was last week and was postponed because of the Shiite rites and the annual visit to Baghdad," Saeed told Ashqaf News.
He explained that the postponement of the meeting "was a big mistake because it is known that this week has started each candidate in the numbers of his campaign and preoccupation with it," adding that "if held anyway, it will be the last of the current session."
"The current number of 120 deputies who attended today expressed their interest in national legislation," Council Chairman Salim al-Jubouri told reporters.
"It is taken into account that some MPs have an interest in the electoral race," he said.
The parliamentary session of the Iraqi Council of Representatives will end its current session on 30/4/2018, as announced by the President of the Council as the legislative elections are scheduled for the next session on 12/5/2018.
