[ltr]Follow up of Mawazine News[/ltr]
[ltr]French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Ludran accused Russia of blocking the entry of inspectors from the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) to the site of the alleged attack in Douma in eastern Gouata.[/ltr]
[ltr]"So far inspectors of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) have no permission to enter the site of the gas attack in Douma," Ludran said in a statement on Friday.[/ltr]
[ltr]He believes that this approach "aims to ensure the disappearance of evidence of the attack," stressing that "the need to allow the organization to enter the site immediately, completely and without obstacles."[/ltr]
[ltr]Experts from the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) arrived in Damascus early last week to examine an alleged chemical attack site in Douma, accusing Western countries of carrying out the attack and launching missile strikes targeting Syrian sites.[/ltr]
[ltr]The French foreign minister's remarks came after Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov confirmed Moscow's insistence on visiting the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) mission to the Syrian city of Douma and expressed the hope that the professional would overcome the investigation.[/ltr]
[ltr]Lavrov said that the moment we declared our readiness and the readiness of the Syrian government to support this idea, the strikes were carried out on Damascus.[/ltr]
