Follow-Up

The Yemeni army has announced that its forces have made new field progress in the northern province of Qubayta, north of the southern province of Lahj, where it is engaged in fierce battles against the Iranian-backed Houthi militia.

The Yemeni news agency quoted a Yemeni military source as saying that Yemeni army forces liberated the central site, al-Falah school and al-Hallajim area in the north of the district.

The Yemeni military source said that the fighting resulted in the death of five militia members and wounding others, stressing that the control of the Yemeni army on those sites will help him facilitate the advance to the Najd lock strategic area overlooking the camp of Bouzza and eastern areas of Rahda and secure the road link between the martyrs Al-Shuraijah and the supply of militias.
