    Oil Minister Jabbar Ali al-Allaibi said in a statement to the twilight news that these rates of production is higher than the average domestic consumption of kerosene for the month of March, which amounted to (17158 m3) per day, noting that the rate of energy of the material also increased to (360000 m3) This coincided with the arrival of production capacity of Iraqi refineries to the same rates as before the events of 2014, despite the exposure of many of them to sabotage and destruction and stop production.
    However, he added that "with the help of the loyalists, we succeeded in increasing the production capacity of the existing refineries to rates ranging between 550-600 thousand barrels per day."
    He added that "the ministry's ambition is to achieve self-sufficiency of this article and reduce the amount of imports to more than (50%) depending on the volume of consumption of the Ministry of Electricity for the material (kaz) in generating electricity for citizens," adding that " The company has succeeded in providing this material despite the suspension of Al-Samoud Refinery (Baiji), whether through importing from abroad or through national production, in order to maintain the operation and operation of the electric power stations of the Ministry of Electricity, as well as supplying generators and private and public factories.
