Baghdad: Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Tuesday that the United States has no intention of leaving Syria despite Washington saying it has plans in this regard.
Lavrov told reporters in Beijing he hoped it would become clearer on how to cooperate to settle the Syrian issue after contacts with his French counterpart.
Commenting on the G7 foreign ministers' statement, which showed the unity of ministers in denouncing Russia, Lavrov said that "the logic of fear of Russia" clearly controls them.
