    [ltr]WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Russia has waged an information war to derail the US presidential election in 2016 but there is no evidence that President Trump's campaign has colluded with Moscow, Republicans said on a congressional committee.[/ltr]
    [ltr]The Democratic minority immediately opposed the findings of the Republican-majority House Intelligence Committee, and the Republicans voted in March to end the commission's investigation into the election, despite objections from Democratic members.[/ltr]
    [ltr]Trump took the opportunity to publish the 253-page report and published his findings on Twitter, reiterating his view that the Russian investigation was "pursuing witchcraft purely. Even though investigations by a special investigator and other committees in Congress are still under way.[/ltr]

    [ltr]The Trump campaign should not have held a meeting in June 2016 at the Trump Tower with Ross claiming they had information damaging to Democratic rival Hillary Clinton, the report said.[/ltr]
    [ltr]The report criticized Trump's campaign with Wikileaks, which published documents believed to have been obtained by Russia via electronic infiltration.[/ltr]
    [ltr]"The Commission also concluded that the repeated praise of the Trump campaign and its engagement with WikiLeaks, a hostile foreign organization, is highly reprehensible and inconsistent with the national security interests of the United States," the report said.[/ltr]
    [ltr]Democrats on the House Intelligence Committee issued their own report on the 98-page order, which described the Republican document as "reflecting a lack of seriousness and interest in the truth."[/ltr]
    [ltr]"Over the course of the investigation, the Republicans in the commission chose not to seriously investigate evidence of complicity or to see the evidence when it was clear," Representative Adam Schiff, the group's top Democrat, said in a statement.[/ltr]
