Pompeo took charge of the North Korean file and visited leader Kim Jong Il in preparation for the upcoming summit with Trump.
US sources said that Trump sent Gulf leaders messages about 20 days ago, including the following elements:

[*]To affirm the close friendship between the United States and the Gulf States and the continuation of this friendship.
[*]Stressing the need to unite positions to confront the "malicious Iranian plot to destabilize the region."
[*]To reaffirm the United States' commitment to the security of the Gulf states "in terms of ethical principles and in the interest of the United States and your interests."
[*]Asserting that confronting the Iranian regime better "requires harmony and unity within the GCC with strong alliances with Egypt, Jordan and other friendly countries."
[*]Warning that the United States will not bear the responsibility alone to address the Iranian plans "if the differences continue between their allies within the system of the Gulf Cooperation Council, and if the wills within their countries refused to accept the principle of resolving the dispute."
[*]The American "material" and human sacrifices to counter terrorism from 2001 to the present, and the amount of American spending in the war against terrorism. "The security of the Gulf countries benefited mainly from it."
[*]It should be noted that the commitments we have made may not continue if the Gulf states do not take a united position in alliance with America "to eliminate terrorism on the one hand and force the regime of Iran to stop its hostile plans against the region."
[*]Stressing the issuance of a Gulf initiative to end the conflict and to show the unified position before the US-Gulf summit, and to issue a statement ending "all cases of boycotts and the opening of land borders and airspace and the return of diplomatic relations to show each party appreciable amounts of consensus and solving problems sensing the seriousness of what is planned for the region" .
[*]The willingness of US diplomacy to contribute to the convergence of views on the outstanding issues between these countries in order to reassure everyone and to remove fears from one party or another, "but the search of all files and details and treatment will take a long time and we need unity to meet the future benefits, The crisis by the end of April and to look at the subsequent details gradually with all the necessary safeguards. "
[*]To call on all Gulf countries to stop media campaigns against each other because "this increases the escalation and impedes the flow of solutions and raise the level of sensitivities among the people of this region eager for peace and face external threats and not escalation."
[*]"We are always on the lookout for the support of the Gulf states combined and for the support and support of Egypt and other friendly countries when we announce our decision on Iran."
