     Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers Mahdi Al-Alak said that the loans supported by the World Bank will be soft, while the representative of the bank that it will contribute to improving the social reality of the country.  On Sunday, the Iraqi government and the World Bank Group in Iraq signed two memorandums of understanding to launch the Social Fund for Development and Emergency projects to support social stability and resilience. 
    "The loans backed by the World Bank will be soft," he said, adding that they "contain long-term repayment periods." For its part, the Special Representative of the World Bank in Iraq Yara Salem, in a press statement, that «World Bank loans for investment projects will contribute to improving the social reality of the country and enhance confidence between the citizen and the government.
    The Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Mohammed Shiaa al-Sudani said in a press statement that «investment projects within the World Bank loans will help to provide employment opportunities, stressing that it is reinforced by the poverty reduction strategy launched by the government in early 2018.  [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
