The White House announced on Thursday that America is preparing to impose additional sanctions on Iran next week at the earliest to ensure that nuclear weapons are not developed. "We are 100 percent committed to ensuring that Iran does not have nuclear weapons," White House spokeswoman Sarah Sanders said in a press briefing, a

day after US President Donald Trump announced the withdrawal of the United States from Iran's nuclear deal

All the sanctions that were in place before the agreement would return as they were, and we promise to add new sanctions that may be imposed next week at the earliest. "

US President Donald Trump said Wednesday that Iran had to negotiate or something would happen after he announced on Tuesday that the United States would withdraw from the nuclear deal with Tehran and impose new sanctions.

The US president warned Iran of "very serious consequences" if it resumed its nuclear program. Asked about what Washington would do if Iran resumed its nuclear efforts, Trump threatened: "Iran will find out."

"I advise the Iranians not to reinstate their nuclear program. I strongly advise them," Bush told reporters at the White House.
