    [ltr]The Electoral Commission for elections announced Saturday evening the percentage of voters in the general and private ballot in the legislative elections in Iraq.[/ltr]
    [ltr]The Electoral Commission said that the turnout in the parliamentary elections that took place in Iraq on Saturday amounted to 44.52% of the right to vote with the counting of 92 percent of the vote.[/ltr]
    [ltr]Observers and observers questioned the announcement by the Commission, pointing to scenes that proved the low participation rate throughout the electoral day, which attributed the political parties and monitoring bodies and organizations to impose a curfew in the early hours and then complicate the procedures and the disruption of electronic voting devices.[/ltr]
    [ltr]The head of the electoral administration in the Commission Riad Badran told a press conference today that more than 10 million participated in the elections, nine million of them participated in the private ballot.[/ltr]
    [ltr]He added that the participation rate in the elections amounted to 44.52% to 92% of the votes of voters.[/ltr]
    [ltr]Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi said on Saturday that with the help of Allah, the general election process was conducted in all governorates of Iraq and that our people were able to cast their votes freely and safely. The liberated governorates also witnessed free voting for the first time after the great victory and a crushing defeat.[/ltr]
    [ltr]"Our heroic forces have achieved another victory by protecting the democratic process and have been able to protect citizens in the polling stations scattered throughout Iraq and thwarted the attempts of terrorism to destabilize the security and stability of this historic day that passed peacefully to all Iraqis," he said in a press release on 12 May 2018.[/ltr]
