The United Nations confirmed that oil revenues, in their magnitude, did not bring real benefit to the Iraqis, and continued suffering of citizens from the lack of services, especially electric power.

"The Iraqis are complaining about the poor security situation and the spread of unemployment and corruption, but the ongoing power cuts are the most Iraqis suffer in services," the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) said in a report on living conditions in Iraq.

The report added that: "According to the Ministry of Electricity, Iraq does not produce any renewable energies currently, especially as the renewable energies include solar energy and water, wind and wind power and away from coal, oil and natural gas.

The United Nations Program: "Iraq is a country rich in natural resources, it contains the fifth largest oil reserves in the world, and ranks 13th in the world gas reserves," noting that "99 percent of government income comes from oil exports, but its revenues Did not bring tangible and tangible benefit to citizens. "

"The electricity grid has been badly damaged by successive wars and conflicts in Iraq, from economic sanctions in the 1990s to a war of war," he said. "The Iraqi national electricity grid is unable to provide citizens, businesses and shops with their electricity needs."
