    The Permanent Representative of Iraq to the United Nations, Ambassador Mohamed Hussein Bahr al-Ulum, presided over a meeting of the First Committee on Disarmament and International Security, in his capacity as Chairman of the Committee.
    "The Permanent Representative of Iraq to the United Nations, Ambassador Mohammed Hussein Bahr al-Ulum, presided over a meeting of the First Committee on Disarmament and International Security. The meeting at the United Nations Headquarters in New York was attended by the Vice-Presidents and the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs Disarmament and a representative of the Office of the President of the United Nations General Assembly.
    The statement added that "the meeting included discussions on ways to develop the working mechanisms of the First Committee for the coming sessions, in order to achieve the objectives of the Committee, praising the role of Iraq in the management of the work of the Committee."
