BAGHDAD (Reuters) - A member of the Board of Commissioners Said Kakai said on Wednesday that there were many doubts and breaches over the preliminary results of the parliamentary elections.
"The Electoral Commission has created skepticism among the candidate blocs regarding the integrity of the parliamentary elections through the announcement of the preliminary results," Kakai said in a press conference attended by "Iraq News". "There are significant violations in the preliminary results of the elections," he said.
He added that he "proposed to the Electoral Commission to conduct manual counting and counting of 25 of the results, but rejected because of some political pressure."
