[ltr]The US government suspects that former CIA agent Joshua Adam Schulte, in the year 2017, handed over e-piracy programs, highly classified to WikiLeaks.[/ltr]
[ltr]"It was the most damaging in recent history and included piracy tools that could be used against private companies," NBC quoted judicial documents as saying.[/ltr]
[ltr]The New York Post reported that the stolen data from the CIA included "a computer program designed to control the contents of iPhone devices and turn smart TV into monitors."[/ltr]
[ltr]The FBI is suspected of stealing 8,000 CIA documents and handing them over to WikiLeaks in March 2017, Defense lawyer Jacob Kaplan said.[/ltr]
[ltr]According to the court, the FBI raided Schulte's apartment in Newark and confiscated his mobile phone, personal computer and all the electronic equipment in his possession.[/ltr]
[ltr]Schulte is currently in Manhattan federal prison for possession and promotion of german materials, while the US media indicate that he worked as a software engineer in the CIA and developed malicious software used by the CIA to penetrate computers belonging to persons suspected of involvement in terrorism.[/ltr]
