The Director General of the Iraqi Customs Munther Abdul Amir Asad discussed with a slice of Iraqi traders and importers the problems and obstacles facing their work.
"Asad discussed during a meeting with the headquarters of the Authority, Tuesday, a segment of Iraqi traders and importers, the problems and obstacles facing their work, and practical steps; to resolve and overcome all these problems, especially in the ports and ports of the southern region" .
Assad noted during the meeting that "the General Authority of Customs has submitted important proposals to the Council of Ministers for the purpose of ratification to resolve the issue of congestion of shipments in the port of Umm Qasr North."
For their part, "traders expressed their satisfaction with the proposals put forward by the Director General of the Authority and the extent to which they understand the delay in completing their transactions."
He called on the Director General of Customs "to cooperate with the Commission and communicate with them on a continuous basis as a segment of traders importers, the main partner and key in the development of trade and investment in Iraq.
