Iraq news The Iraqi parliament voted Monday to manually count 10 percent of the results of the legislative elections. The source said in a press statement that "the Iraqi Council of Representatives voted during the extraordinary session held to discuss the violations that accompanied the electoral process on the wording of a resolution to ensure the counting and manual counting of 10% of the results of the legislative elections for 2018."
The House of Representatives opened earlier Monday, the special session to discuss the violations that accompanied the legislative elections, headed by Salim al-Jubouri and the presence of 165 deputies. "The House of Representatives started its extraordinary session to discuss the violations of the elections, and to take a decision on, after the quorum is completed," a parliamentary source said in an interview with Baghdad today. The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Salim al-Jubouri, decided earlier Monday, to extend the date of the extraordinary session to 6 pm, at a time the number of deputies attended 152 deputies. The Presidency of the Council of Representatives, had called earlier members of the Council to hold an "extraordinary session" to discuss the violations that accompanied the electoral process on the 12 of May, after failing to hold three consecutive times, while MPs are unlikely to complete the quorum of the meeting for today .
