Iraqi cleric Moqtada al-Sadr, the leader of the leading Alliance of Leaders in the legislative elections, touched on relations between his country on the one hand and Iran and the United States on the other.
This came in response to a question by one of his followers, "about the statements of some politicians not to be able to form the next Iraqi government without interference by Iran and the United States."
"Iran is a neighbor country that is afraid of its interests," Sadr said. "We hope that they will not interfere in the Iraqi affairs." "We also refuse to interfere with Iran."
As for the United States, Sadr's response was even more harsh: "America is an occupied country, we do not allow it to intervene at all."
