Signed a contract with an American company to develop oil facilities in Basra and Dhi Qar
The two companies signed the oil of Basra and Dhi Qar, a letter (letter) cooperation understanding with the US Chevron, to develop oil extraction and export facilities.
"The paper is the beginning of a set of understandings and projects, which will give the Basra Oil Company an opportunity to partner with Chevron to develop its extraction and export facilities," said Ihsan Abdul Jabbar, director of the Basra Petroleum Company.
"The American Chevron was chosen to sign the memorandum as one of the largest energy companies in the world, and it is hoped that Iraq will be placed in the right place in the energy industry in the world," he said.
Oil Minister Jabbar Al-Luaibi said in a speech during the signing ceremony: "The signing of the memorandum came in order to strengthen the relationship between the national oil companies and the other international parties, in addition to increasing the volume of cooperation and gain and exchange of experiences and development of the national industry in preparation for conducting studies and surveys. Oil and gas fields and future plans. "
He confirmed the Ministry's intention to develop this memorandum to include the signing of contracts of work for mega projects to be agreed soon
