The Permanent Representative of Iraq in Geneva, Ambassador Moayed Saleh, stressed on Thursday the need for Iraq to receive exceptional support from the World Health Organization of the United Nations to rehabilitate its health system and promote the health of the country.
"The Permanent Representative of the Republic of Iraq in Geneva, Ambassador Moayad Saleh, met with EMRO Regional Director EMRO Ahmed Salim Saif al-Maqtari at his temporary office at the UN headquarters," a statement from the Foreign Ministry said.
The statement quoted Saleh as saying that "the exceptional circumstances of Iraqi health institutions, many of which have been destroyed as a result of the war against the terrorist gangs waged by Iraq on behalf of the world, and Iraq's need for exceptional support by WHO and its Regional Rehabilitation Office And how to activate the WHO office in Baghdad to be more effective in supporting Iraqi health institutions. "
