An Islamic delegation ends a visit to Israel after a meeting with Netanyahu
A high-level Indonesian delegation of Indonesian Islamic scholars concluded a one-week visit to Israel on Sunday, including a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
"The Indonesian religious delegation headed by Sheikh Yahya Khalil Stakof, head of Indonesia's Nahdlatul Ulama Society, is visiting Israel for the weekend," the agency said.
"The visit, which lasted for a week, included meetings with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Head of State Reuven Rivlin, and visits to the Al-Aqsa Mosque and throughout the country."
During the visit, the Indonesian delegation participated in meetings in Jerusalem with Jewish and Muslim religious leaders and activists in order to "bring the views of the three heavenly religions closer together."
