Al-Allaibi: Iraq is confident that the "OPEC +" agreement and prefer not to increase production

Iraqi Oil Minister Jabbar al-Luaibi said on Thursday that his country was optimistic and confident that OPEC countries would reach an agreement during the Vienna meeting, stressing that he would prefer not to make changes to the maximum production levels of the participating countries.
"There are two options, one is to increase oil production within the framework of the (OPEC +) agreement, which would prefer not to make changes to it, and to the maximum levels of production for countries," he told reporters. Participation ".
Al-Allaibi pointed out that "Iraq would prefer not to change the agreement (OPEC +) and maximum levels of extraction, until the end of the year."
Asked about his country's position while maintaining production, the minister said, "This is our initial position."
OPEC and several other countries agreed at the end of 2016 in Vienna to reduce the volume of oil extraction by about 1.8 million barrels per day, Russia agreed to reduce the volume of extraction within the deal rate of 300,000 barrels per day.
This agreement was subsequently extended several times. In November 2017, the agreement was extended to full 2018.
