«Journal News» published eight points agreed between Abadi and Sadr
Prime Minister Haider al-Abbadi and the leader of the Sadrist movement Moqtada al-Sadr, an alliance between the coalition victory and the rest, while pointing to eight points as a basis for future alliances.
"We declare a transient alliance of sectarianism and ethnicity to ensure the interest of the Iraqi people among the people of victory and victory, which will contribute to the crystallization of a strong government that serves the aspirations of the people," Sadr told a joint news conference with Abadi in Najaf.
"The basis of that alliance is to form a government of technocrats, support the army and police, maintain their prestige, fight corruption and prevent corrupt people from holding government positions in a cross-sectarian alliance," Sadr said.
"The coalition will provide a comprehensive economic government program, as well as the pledge to maintain balanced relations with all countries and preserve the unity of Iraq and its lands," he said.
