BAGHDAD / The head of the parliamentary fact-finding committee, Adel Nuri, said on Thursday that the work of his committee will end on Saturday after the end of the parliament.
Nuri said the "appointed Iraq News" that "the parliamentary fact-finding committee will end its work by the end of the parliament," stressing "the need to be a continuation of the work of Parliament to monitor the counting process."
He pointed out that "the work of the Commission is linked to the existence of the Iraqi parliament and the Commission's monitoring and issuance of reports and will not have a role by the end of the work of Parliament."
The Iraqi Council of Representatives has failed to hold its meeting for today to vote on the fourth amendment to the election law, which extends the mandate of parliament until the ratification of the results.
