Iran opens largest gasoline production plant with local capabilities

"The completion of the largest section of the Persian Gulf Star refinery, the largest gasoline production project in Iran, has been done with local cadres and potentials," said Brigadier General Abadullah Abdullahi.
"More than 80 percent of the design, manufacture and operation of the Persian Gulf Star refinery has been made possible through the use of internal resources and capabilities," he said at the opening ceremony of the second phase.
He added that "according to priorities for the year 2018, we have 40 projects under implementation have a large share in the oil sector," noting that "the magnitude of this project is much larger than the rest of the refineries in the country in terms of area and equivalent to three stages of the field of South Pars."
