Observers to the "Baghdad Post", that the closure of the Strait of Hormuz by the forces of the leader of the regime of the Iranian mullah Ali Khamenei means the end of Iran.

Iranian President Hassan Rowhani threatened, during his remarks on the sidelines of his visit to Switzerland, to block shipments of oil from neighboring countries if the countries respond to the request of the United States not to buy Iran's oil.

A spokesman for the US Central Command said the US Navy was ready to guarantee free shipping and trade, after Iran threatened to block oil shipments through the Strait of Hormuz if Washington banned Iranian oil sales.

"The United States and its partners provide and promote security and stability in the region and are ready together to ensure freedom of navigation and trade where international law allows," Navy spokesman Bill Urben said in an e-mail message.
