The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) said nearly 180,000 children and children had been displaced from their homes in southern Syria because of the military operation launched by the Syrian regime with Russian support since June 18.

"Families are killed in full, including a family of four children in a village in southwestern Syria," the organization said in a press release.

Sixty-five children and children have been killed in southern Syria over the past three weeks, according to the organization's statistics.
