KUWAIT, July 7 (KUNA) - The Kuwaiti cabinet discussed on Saturday the possible economic repercussions in the event of an escalation of tension in the Strait of Hormuz following Iranian threats to close the strait.
"The Cabinet will discuss in its next meeting the most important preparations for any possible economic emergency, especially after the Iranian threats to stop the supply of oil and traffic in the Strait of Hormuz," the newspaper "Al-Qabas" said on its website.
Informed sources told the newspaper that the government would discuss "precautions and measures to deal with any such threat," despite the "satisfaction and satisfaction of the government not to take this step because of the Iranian commitments, in addition to Washington's pledge to ensure the safety of oil supplies in the Arabian Gulf" .
