The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) expressed concern about the "destabilizing activities" carried out by the militia of the mullahs in the Middle East.

They also expressed concern about Tehran's "intensive missile tests", their range and accuracy.
NATO leaders at the summit in Brussels on Wednesday declared their "unwavering commitment" to agreed defense spending targets and stressed their concerns over the threats posed by Russia, Iran and North Korea.

In a clear nod to US President Donald Trump's criticism that NATO partners are spending too little on defense, NATO said in a statement: "We are committed to improving the balance of participation in the expenses and responsibilities of NATO membership."

The leaders expressed concern about Russia's recent activities, saying they affected stability and security. They said they were "united" with British assessments that Russia was responsible for the nerve gas attack on former Russian spy Sergey Scrippal in the British city of Salisbury.

The alliance also agreed to invite Macedonia to start accession talks.
