Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Sunday that he discussed Syria and Iran with US President Donald Trump ahead of the latter's meeting with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
Speaking to members of the Israeli government, Netanyahu said he had spoken by phone to Trump and that the US president had reiterated his commitment to Israel.
Trump will meet in Helsinki on Monday with Putin, who supports Damascus and is in a regular dialogue with Tehran.
