Warnings of the withdrawal of oil companies operating in Iraq

Economist Salam Samisem warned on Thursday of the withdrawal of most oil companies operating in the southern fields as a result of popular demonstrations and attack workers in most oil companies, which will adversely affect the exploration and extraction of oil in these fields.
She said in a press statement that "public demonstrations affect the climate of stability of the work of oil companies, which is one of the most important areas of investment and affected by the political climate, therefore we see that in most oil countries there are security and political escorts on the oil companies to provide a suitable climate for its work," noting that " Increase sabotage and attack on oil companies by the demonstrators will lead to the withdrawal of workers, which will adversely affect the areas of export and prospecting and extraction, which ultimately affects the Iraqi economy.
"The increase in the fears of these companies will lead to the decline of Iraqi oil exports, which will contribute to raising the price of Iraqi oil, which will generate a great loss to Iraq to keep away buyers of this oil, which leads to the loss of an extraordinary opportunity to lead to an improvement of the Iraqi budget."
"The administration of this file depends on the flexibility of the Iraqi government to respond and deal with the requirements of the economic situation and economic reform to be provided in the southern provinces, especially."
