Federal: The economy continues to grow but there is concern about tariffs

(Encyclopedia of this Day News | Iraq News ) - Direct: Federal Reserve Bank said that there is concern about tariffs, despite the continuing US economic growth rate of moderate or higher in most states.

The Federal Reserve said in a report on Wednesday that all federal councils had expressed concern over tariffs and reported rising prices and supply disruptions as a result of new trade policies.

The United States has threatened to impose customs tariffs on Chinese goods worth 200 billion dollars.

Companies also reported rising costs of raw materials and other supplies, with iron and wood prices rising after tariffs.

Some regions said they expected pressure on prices to rise, as did labor market stress and a shortage of skilled labor.

The report pointed to the creation of more new jobs, especially in construction companies, but there is still a shortage of skilled labor, to wage growth modestly to moderate.

The Federal Reserve chairman gave an upbeat outlook for US economic growth, but expressed concern over weak inflation during his testimony to Congress.
