The value of Iran's exports of ornamental stones reached 341 million dollars during the last Iranian year (end March 20, 2018), registering a rise of 94 percent compared with five years earlier.
According to statistics from the Iranian Customs Department, the value of the country's exports of ornamental stones amounted to about 176 million dollars six years ago, recording a rise of 10.89 percent compared to the previous year.
According to the customs department, the value of Iranian exports in this field reached 341 million dollars last year, registering a rise of 24.45 percent compared to the previous year, which amounted to 274 million dollars.
Iran ranks among the world's six largest producers of ornamental stones, but ranks among the world's top 20 exporters in terms of exports.
According to official statistics, China is the first importer of Iranian ornamental stones worth 170 million dollars, or 49.85 percent.
Iraq comes second with 73 million dollars and Turkey with 17 million dollars in third place, followed by India and Turkmenistan with 11 million dollars each, followed by other countries with a total of 59 million dollars, or 17.3 percent.
