European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker presented US President Donald Trump with an extraordinary gift, a picture of a military cemetery, during his visit to Washington .

"This is the picture of the military cemetery in Luxembourg where American General George Patten was buried in World War II, " Yonker said.

"Dear Donald, to remember our common history," Juncker wrote on the picture.

International media reported earlier that Trump and Junker agreed during their meeting on Wednesday that the United States will begin work on the export of liquid gas to Europe .

The European side also agreed to reduce industrial tariffs and import more soybeans and US agricultural products.

The late US General George Patten and his tank weapons took part in the Normandy landing, a military operation that allowed Allied nations during the Second World War to reinforce their positions in France and launch an offensive against Nazi forces.
Patten died in Germany on December 21, 1945.
