Direct : Industrial production slowed in China this month , more than expectations with the trade dispute with Washington and weak domestic demand.
According to data released by the National Statistics Agency on Tuesday, the Industrial Purchasing Managers' Index registered 51.2 points in July, the lowest level since February, compared to 51.5 points in June.
Analysts had expected the manufacturing PMI, the world's second-largest economy, to fall to 51.3 this month.
The data showed that companies were affected by trade frictions, rain and high temperatures in July, and this month is a slow season periodically for some sectors.
The United States is considering the introduction of customs tariffs on imports from China worth 250 billion dollars, and the US president does not exclude all imports from China with tariffs.
At the PMI level, it is still at a contractionary range, but it is stable at the June level of 49.8 points.
By 0830 GMT, the yuan was down 0.2 percent at 6.8271 yuan.
