Newspaper: Saudi Arabia destroys the deal of the century

Riyadh's comments and King Salman's assertion that he rejected any peace plan that does not include the recognition of East Jerusalem as the capital of Palestine have angered Israeli media, in which he saw an end to the "century deal".
The newspaper "Ma'ariv" Hebrew that Saudi Arabia has eliminated hopes in the "Deal of the Century" America, after sending a harsh message to US President, Donald Trump.
The newspaper said on Tuesday that the letter sent by Saudi Arabia on its rejection of the "deal of the century", which does not address the files of Jerusalem and Palestinian refugees, frustrated the US President Donald Trump, and clinically ruled on the "American deal."
The newspaper reported that Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and the Palestinian Authority were not alone in rejecting the "deal of the century," but were joined by Saudi Arabia, which assassinated the hopes of President Trump, who believed Riyadh was a Washington ally.
Shlomo Shamir, the political analyst of the newspaper, wrote on the website that this Saudi letter means the end of the "deal of the century", though not an official declaration, but it seems to be moving in this direction.
Diplomatic sources confirmed that Saudi King Salman bin Abdul Aziz is the country's decision maker on the Middle East issue and offered special guarantees to support Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.
This comes as the media confirm that Saudi Arabia and other major Arab countries have assured the United States of its refusal to accept any peace plan for the Middle East conflict that does not include the recognition of East Jerusalem as the capital of the state of Palestine.
