world - British newspapers: Iran on the edge of the abyss and the end of a world order NB-243938-636692282933447048

newspaper "Daily Telegraph" chose a headline stating " the end of a global system , " the opening of her article , which dealt with the European dispute with the United States on the re - imposition of sanctions on Iran .

The editorial says that Europe found itself in conflict with America after the entry into force of the new batch of sanctions imposed by Washington on Iran.

The sanctions will target companies that continue to trade with Tehran with financial penalties and other restrictions, it added.

The paper points out that Brussels granted some legal protection for European companies that continue to deal with Iran, but most of them are unlikely to risk the challenge of these sanctions.

President Trump, in his flurry of success with North Korea, believes the tough stance will lead to new talks with Iran that would improve his predecessor, Barack Obama . He supports his demands by waving the military option, as he did with Pyongyang.

She adds that it is not the first time that the US president is happy to break a commitment to a general international position, believing that his only way is the right one.

The newspaper lamented the results of the US decision to damage the Iranian economy, which was hit hard, as well as the escalation of political unrest that may threaten the rule of ayatollahs.

"Iran on the edge of the abyss"

It also points to the welcome of countries "fearful of Tehran's expansionist tendencies," as is the case with Saudi Arabia and Israel, with Trump insisting that any new agreement must include both the nuclear program and the support of terrorism.

The price to be paid for this is the gradual dismantling of what has been used to be a united Western approach to the threat of countries such as Iran and Russia.

Trump's policy of "America First" has broken down the world order since 1945, and its long-term consequences will come to Britain after the exit from the European Union and the rest of the world

Other newspapers have also devoted extensive news stories to re-imposing US sanctions on Iran, opinion pieces and analyzes of their effects and dimensions, as with the Financial Times, which has covered its front page headline as "

Devoted one of its internal pages to an expanded report from its correspondents in Tehran about the economic situation in the country and the rise in prices of commodities and deal with different social strata and the government with them.

The Times also published an editorial in the same context under the title "Iran on the brink of the abyss," focusing on the protests that spread over the past six days in the streets of Iran on high prices and the devaluation of the Iranian currency and corruption of the government bureaucracy.
