    Head of Engineers Azhar al-Rubaie confirmed that the union seeks to employ as many new engineers as possible and integrate them into the labor market through the establishment of these workshops to obtain a work permit for the engineer in the engineering examination of dangerous equipment as well as find jobs for new engineers and to inform engineering cadres working in the public and private sectors.     Al-Rubaie said in a statement to "Al-Nour News" that "the Engineers Syndicate seeks to activate the concept of occupational safety of equipment, which has been ignored by most companies since the eighties of the last century so far, stressing the existence of coordination with the National Center for Occupational Health and Safety in the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs in this regard."

    Rubaie said that "the application of occupational safety standards in government departments and the private sector is almost limited indicating that the activation of occupational safety measures is the goal of the union in the establishment of engineering and technical committees trained."

    For her part, Director of the National Center for Occupational Health and Safety at the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs Azhar Fadel said in a statement to "Al Noor News" that "the Ministry of Labor is keen to maintain the health and safety of workers in work sites and workshops in various public and private sectors through the provision of safety standards and training To be applied through the engineering examination of hazardous equipment. "

    "The most dangerous equipment that must be checked periodically is the electrical elevators in the circuits and cranes and steam boilers used in many government and civil services."

    She noted that "the National Center for Occupational Health and Safety in the Ministry of Labor has the authority to grant the license to the Iraqi engineer and authorized to conduct the engineering examination in accordance with specific conditions related to the experience of the applicant and the rank he occupies in the membership of the Engineers Association."

    "The center has developed an integrated program to grant license to individuals and companies wishing to grant the license to conduct engineering examinations in a manner that covers all governmental and private institutions."

    He added that "the Ministry of Labor has inspection teams whose task is to roam the work sites in the institutions to reveal the authorized and non-authorized persons to conduct periodic inspections of engineering equipment that pose a serious risk to the workers."
