    Basra Petroleum Company signed a final contract with British company Petrofac on Monday for the development of Majnoon oil field and the construction of the second station CPF2.
    The director of the Basra Petroleum Company Ihsan Abdul-Jabbar told a press conference held at the headquarters of the oil company, "The contract includes the construction of a crude oil production plant within the field of Majnoon oil, one of the fields managed by the national effort and cost of 369 million dollars and a capacity of 200 thousand barrels per day, which is A significant reduction in the cost of commissioning oil contracts. "
    He explained that the contract comes to implement a plant capacity of 200 thousand barrels per day of crude oil within the global standards, which will enhance Iraq's production and export capabilities
    He pointed out that the implementation phase will take a period of 24-30 months, which will attract a large number of local workers during the project period and other job opportunities at work.
    The assistant director of the company for the licensing of oil Ahmed Fadel during the conference that "follow-up implementation of the project will be by the Basra Oil Company directly, and work will be consensual for the purpose of maintaining the production of the field as planned for the second station."
    "There is a plan to increase the production of the field during the next three years to 450 thousand barrels per day."
    For his part, Petrofac Project Manager Ilya Lahoud said at the conference that "the company will implement within the specified period and using local labor."
    Between the director of the field of Majnoon oil Hassan Mohamed Hassan during the conference that there is a plan to drill 80 wells are in the contract phase as well as the construction of the gas gas station for the production of gas produced from CPF2, which will be established through the contract between the two companies in addition to infrastructure projects and the establishment of 15 platforms for drilling as well as project Integrated with Sumo Tomo Company for the processing of drilling equipment and a package of giant projects in the stage of production escalation.
