Personal consumption contributed to an increase in US economic growth from the second quarter of 2018, accelerating 4%.
It is estimated that the US gross domestic product will record 4% on the second reading.

The United States will begin sanctions against Russia over the poisoning of the Russian spy in Britain on Monday.
Under the sanctions, foreign aid measures and some arms sales and financing to Russia will be terminated, as well as Moscow's denial of credit and the ban on the export of goods and technology sensitive to security.
Last March, Sergey Scrippal, the former spy of Britain and his son, Yulia, was exposed to nerve gas poisoning in Britain.
The incident has caused widespread diplomatic problems with the Russian government by the United States, Germany, France and Britain.
