A member of the former legal committee, Zana Said, confirmed the unconstitutionality of holding an extraordinary session called for by the leader of Sadr's movement, Moqtada al-Sadr, on the protests and the situation in the province of Basra.
Said said, "The President of the Age of the House of Representatives task is defined in the Constitution, according to article (54), as he can not hold an extraordinary session on Basra."
He added that "this extraordinary meeting can not be held at the present time, even if called by the President of the Republic," asserting that "there is no way until after the election of the Presidency of the Council of Representatives."[/rtl]
