A statement of the council received by "Iraq News", that "the Council issued during its meeting seven decisions to address the needs of the province of Basra and agree to exclude the paragraphs listed below of the implementation of the general budget for the fiscal year 2018 and instructions for the implementation of government contracts No. 2 of 2014.
He pointed out that the decisions are to support and support the people of Basra, especially the families of the victims, civilians and military personnel, and (2) to send a ministerial team according to the Council of Ministers' Decision No. 271 of 2018 and remain in Basra until the completion of the tasks.
"The money allocated under the management of the team has been released with extraordinary powers and according to the decisions of the previous cabinet," he said.
He stressed that the security forces and the armed forces are required to enforce the law and enable them to protect citizens and public and private property, as well as to emphasize that the right to demonstrate is guaranteed peacefully according to the constitution and the protection of this right.
He explained that "the Council decided to support civil society initiatives to participate in the campaigns of reconstruction and voluntary work, and communicate with the youth sector in the province of Basra and their participation in the reform projects.
