    North Korea will develop a railway unification project with Russia and South Korea, and it must be affiliated with the Korean Peninsula, said Kim Jang-sik, deputy director of the Ministry of Railways' North Korea's Ministry of Railways.

    It is worth mentioning that the railway "Hasan-Rajin" and the port "Rajin" was jointly reconstructed by the Russian Railways and North Korea. South Korea also wanted to join the project, which would allow it to receive goods from Russia, including coal, faster and cheaper. In March 2016, Seoul announced the suspension of its participation in the HASSAN-RAJIN cargo transport project across the territory of the Republic of Korea (ROK) as a result of UN Security Council sanctions against Pyongyang.
