"Iran, if exposed to aggression, will not only respond by land, air and sea, but will carry out overseas attacks," said Yahya Rahim Safavi, supreme military adviser to Iran's supreme leader Ali Khamenei.
Safavi said during a speech on Monday: "We warn the enemies of the revolution that if they attack Iran, we will chase them and punish them not only outside the border but also overseas," according to the news agency "Fars" Iran.

"The eight years of sacred defense (1980-1988) ensured Iran's security for 80 years because enemies know that if they attack Iran, our forces defending the country's security will reap them, and the thorns will be eradicated," he said.
